A city that is on the outskirts of the Taoreta Region, and the only remaining city left over from the original Ikaruga Federation's region. Its landscape is filled with wastelands from the results of Taoreta but the people in it have been working toward getting it back to livable status. It's owned by the Liberation Sector, under the protection and order of the Yurisa Region.

Quelling the Rebellion of Akitsu[]
Before the start of Control Sequence, somewhere around the early 2390's, the Novus Orbis Sequentia broke their border rules with the Yurisa Region portion of Akitsu. This crossing was spearheaded by a man named Fasado, and in Control Sequence its hinted that the Sequence Intelligence Agency was also present. The apparent reasoning to the public was the fact of highly rebellious leaders stationed there, and rumored activities of theirs justifying the crossing-- however this is proven false. Akitsu suffered a brutal assault mentioned by Mujihi Mazio in Episode 9 of Control Sequence, where the mask wearing official had ruthlessly caused erasures in the city for the purposes of gathering an unknown artifact with Mujihi's family had been guarding. Mujihi's father, Tekina, was also killed in the process by Fasado for reasons unknown to his son Mujihi until later into the series. Fasado had gained possession of the artifact, and almost caused the loss of Akitsu to the Liberation Sector-- but the 0th Sector had intervened by Nicaiah Metake's word which countered the ground assault and saved both the city and Mujihi.
It was hinted Nex might have been present during this event toward the end of Verse 1, but Nex doesn't seem to make any official statements about it.
