A Seithr Being (破損魔法魂魄 Mahason no Konpaku lit: Soul/Shadow of Corrupting Magic) is a primarily antagonistic existence in Control Sequence. They are a being that has been completely consumed by Seithr, with no mind, will or soul of their own and have become dependent on their connection to the Boundary to simply exist. They're commonly called Seithrspawn.
How a Seithr Being comes to exist is not yet entirely understood, or why the shards in their body are crimson. They always contain red-colored Boundary Fragments.
Creatures of complete corruption and malevolence who thrive in Seithr. They seek only to kill and bring destruction which consumes what is left of their mind. For unknown reasons they abhor life as an existence and seek to destroy it and bring a world of complete death and decay into seithr. The NOS’s system detects them as a threat, and they’re an existence not able to bring ‘order’ to. It's notable that, they're registered as unreal beings, an existence of the Boundary and death but granted life by supernatural power. They're no longer a part of the current world's power of order. As such they are seen as enemies to the world.
They senselessly pursue energy to feed on in attempt to gain power, most commonly this brings them to individuals with connection to the Boundary like Nex. Seithr Being prove stronger then most humans, and have a decent resistance to Ars on the spots ensnared by seithr. Their weakness is the shard within their body, which if shattered will end their life. If not shattered it will simply continue to regenerate itself should there be enough seithr present in the area.
Seithr Beings are most commonly seen in the region of fallen Ikaruga: Taoreta Region. They also exist near the areas the seithr still reaches in the city (Seithr Zones). Most are rogue but they will obey stronger forces of destruction then themselves, like Zaezel.
In form, they retain a vague human appearance but their body is consumed by black patches with strange colored veins bleeding throughout their body, most notably around the area their Boundary Fragment is. Their body is typically very sickly and frail looking however as their semblance of existence isn't strong at all. Inside their body is only seithr, absent of any blood or flesh.
They are surpassed in power by the Azure Sin Subject and the Third War's Berserk Black.
According to record, Seithr Being began appearing in mass during the effects of the Corrosion Anomaly. While not as deadly as the previous existences known as the Berserk Black, they presented a threat after the World Crisis in Third War of Armagus. In truth not much is understood about their existences or origins.
Because of their resilience to seithr and absorption of certain magical energies it made a lot of weaponry useless against the creatures. More individuals with Drive were needed to even combat such beings while the Barriers were used to keep them from entering the cities past Seithr Zones.
They are more powerful then the average man but not stronger then an individual with strong enough Drive capabilities.
The Seithr in their bodies can be manipulated to create weapons like extendable spines or spikes, claws or even an artificial weapon of complete shadow. They're capable of manipulating small particles sometimes into crimson particles which are likened to insects and will harm the enemies mind. In pockets of Seithr they can disappear from sight and manifest elsewhere. Despite no longer having a mind of their own, they are intelligent, and are capable of speech via a form of telepathy through the Boundary, but most seem to avoid speaking. Getting hit by a Seithr Being causes the body to deteriorate from exposure to the Seithr, and if the individual doesn't have a strong enough will they'll perish from it.
They're exceptionally weak to a positive flow of drive like Reiga's or Hiro's who use their own strength to make their drive utilize power of designing Seithr into something akin to 'light'. A single touch of it can destroy their shards instantly.
Unlike an Azure Sin Subject, Seithr Being can not use the power of cores or refine their own existence.
