Asuva Ragnar is the protagonist of the Incarnate Trilogy. He utilizes the BlazBlue with the energy of something called "Kaiser" a prototype corrupting energy in likeness of seithr.

Asuva later realized in Crisis Rebellion that he was a reincarnation of the soul that belonged to Ragna previously and had no choice but to continue his fight against the opposite, Kaizema who was host to a partial incarnation of the soul of Yuuki Terumi. However, the "Kaiser" that infested his BlazBlue kept Asuva from utilizing the White Azure against Kaizema making him unable to win. Celica later on as she came to note her power to counter the Kaiser's effect, helped Asuva regain control over the White Azure.

In the true ending of Calamitous Complex, it was discovered that the soul belonged to an immortal being known as Izanagi whom he was vessel to. His weapon, Blood-Scythe was also a blade used by Izanagi. It turned out the soul could never find peace until it filled its role given by the Gods which was to destroy the world and punish humanity and would be in constant reincarnation with the soul of Yuuki Terumi until that point occurred.

Along with him, another immortal Izanami was through Xenaki, a reincarnation of her soul who Asuva eventually ended up saving and quelling her despair and anger towards the world, despite Izanagi's original inability to when traversing the Yomi's Abyss.

Asuva ended up breaking the "Azure Cycle" between them in Fate Dissolution, by denying his role as destroyer and challenging fate, he defeated Terumi even though it was considered impossible by the gods. And to end the repeating calamity Terumi and he brought through filling the world with "hatred" he sealed them both away after using and creating Chaos Blue from the Omnipotent Codex, called the Soul Codex.

Though Ragna has in fact appeared in the following saga, the Iconoclast Saga, he doesn't seem to have any connection to this version which released the codex though has knowledge of what he's done.

Information[]

Early Life []

Asuva was found at the old battle site of the Continuum incident underground in a chamber decorated with various symbols and sigils of old by Bullet and HJ. The small family took to living in the city that would later become Ugairu. Asuva lived there for a few years, growing up and meeting the people there. Upon the discovery of the Kaiser, a war broke out that dragged his adoptive parents into founding the RSF, or Rebellion Strike Force.

Asuva was curious and quite friendly as a child. He always was rebellious and refused to listen if he didn't want to do something. He was often bored however,  and it was this kind of attitude that led him into trouble often, sneaking out of the house while HJ and Bullet were away. To HJ and Bullet he treated just like real parents.

Because of the Azure residing in his heart and means to access it through Blazblue, a lot of people tried to sneak in the house and kidnap him or harm him one of these people being someone simply known as Nameless. Bullet and HJ had to be on constant guard because of this, and anyone who came to the house was only supposed to be people of their old group.

Past Afflictions []

Asuva began to wander around as he got older, and he eventually met a beastkin cat named Koyoto. While speaking to him, a cloaked attacker tried to kidnap him. Asuva takes a blow to the shoulder and watches Koyoto fend off his attacker. While Koyoto heals his injury, Bullet and HJ eventually come back from their mission, pinning the blame on Koyoto for the young Asuva's misfortune of being attacked. As HJ and Bullet blame him, Koyoto brings up the remark that if they wanted to protect him, they shouldn't leave him alone. Eventually Asuva leaves, not wanting to hear the argument.

The next morning Asuva again leaves the house wanting to see if Koyoto was around again. Koyoto shows up and Asuva apologizes to him for his parent's behavior, saying they were over protective of him. Koyoto tries to explain the importance of family, and Asuva becomes distracted by a noise. Kaizema, a childhood friend of his who spoke with him before Koyoto came around enters in the two's conversation setting Koyoto on edge, knowing who he really was. Asuva tries to explain the two are friends, but Koyoto asks to speak with Kaizema alone, Asuva, after many questions, agrees and waits for the two to finish. Koyoto pins out Kaizema's true identity and he asks what he's planning, Kaizema doesn't say much, ending with the threat that if Koyoto decides to intervene he would personally toss him into the boundary once more.

Asuva ends their conversation with a board cry and Kaizema leaves soon after, telling Asuva to meet him later on so he could show him something cool since his parents would be away for a long time today on their mission. Asuva agrees to the proposition and speaks with Koyoto a final time. Koyoto warns him that not everyone who appears nice is, and then leaves, hoping that he could do more to help him later on.

They were always busy and Asuva began to wander around as he got older, meeting Kaizema who acted as an older kind of friend to him. Eventually an incident befell him that his family wasn't aware of, but one day he hadn't returned home.

He was taken by someone whose identity remains unknown, and brought to the KU as a research subject. As they expected he contained the Azure within his soul. At the heart of it, his Blazblue was used as a catalyst to mix with the DNA of the Kaiser pulled directly from the source, resulting in a hybrid solidified mass they called the Kaiser Core. The Core was absorbed by the Blazblue, and made a grimroire that gained its energy right out of his heart and linked him as a source to the Kaiser. Even though he wasn't compatible with the grimroire or the Kaiser energies, the KU continued to use him to create more cores. The cores were smelted into weaponry and armor using the Azure as a catalyst, allowing the KAL to gain its advantage in the war.

He was there for nearly a month, talking to Xenaki who was taken from Sector Seven and placed within the building for reasons unclear to him.

After Asuva's Azure was nearly sucked dry, the Kaiser core continued to refine itself becoming the dominant energy that the Blazblue used. Eventually he couldn't control it any longer, and he began to gain an insatiable desire to kill everyone and everything, he felt malice. The Kaiser DNA began to show, warping him into something completely different minded. He continued to kill and gather soul energy, then exude Kaiser energy in its place, draining the area itself of its very life. Soon he could no longer contain the strain, and, fighting to hold onto the last shred of sanity he has, he released the energy in one single, devastating burst. It killed everyone within the facility and reduced the area around him to nothing, similar to how an explosion from the Gigant would work.

The event later became known as one of the "Kaiser Incidents".

An interval happened after the blast when he collapsed from the strain of the release of energy, but what happened between the time he lost conscious and woke up was unknown to him, and he recalled nothing of the events prior. Because of these events though he became known as the crimson beast, named for the red pulsing lines that covered him, and the light that engulfed the area during the release of energy. The KAL for sometime after, hunted the family down to try and retrieve Asuva.

Crisis Rebellion[]

Due to a power that radiates from his heart and was first seen during the "Kaiser Incidents" and a war swept away by Intel, he was sought out by many organizations. This forcing both Bullet and HJ to move constantly to keep him out of harms way. Finally the small family settles in Ikaruga, where Asuva spends about a year learning how to fight. Eventually he is given the Blood-Scythe and told the stories of a hero who gave his life to stop the threat known as Continuum alongside Kiba Soavate. Asuva begins to learn how to fight with the blade and eventually makes it his goal to become as legendary as Ragna, to carry his legacy according to HJ.

He travels to Ugairu after his home is attacked by an unknown organization, and Bullet and HJ are forced to lead him away from harm. He comes to find out that his birth was directly intertwined with someone else's death.

Kaizema is revealed to have been the one behind the assault on his family for the past few years, and the most recent as a ploy to draw him back to Ugairu. His betrayal wakens a sleeping hatred within him, and Kaizema nearly kills him there. He is rescued by the General of the Rebellion Strike Force Laileth. Under Laileth's black wings he becomes a member of the RSF, and learns that Ugairu is under command of the NOL, and among others the KAL. Laileth advises him to go to the NOL to uncover the truth about the past conflicts involving the Kaiser incidents. These incidents having a direct impact on him that he heard from Bullet and HJ, the past founders of the RSF. Wanting to find answers he doesn't second guess anything, and heads for the NOL straight away. According to Laileth, he is the only key to destroying the Kaiser project and turning the tide of the war.

Because Isamu died he was able to be born with the Azure, and he now holds the inherited fate of fighting the opposite, Kaizema. Jubei tells him that he could be the one to "end the cycle" with the power he holds that sets him apart from the others, but he doesn't specify. He notes that the girl he met earlier, Celica has come back for a specific reason regarding him.

He faces the Imperator Ryuke after she moves Xenaki to the Monolith to Hell, bellow the NOL where the project is in a separate void made by the Kaiser itself. The Projects that were taken in there were warped into weapons to be used for the previous war's means. The current one that had absorbed Xenaki turns her into the Alpha unit using Amaterasu as a link. Though Asuva manages to destroy this link using an unknown power and save Xenaki, through what Kaizema calls his "Power of Azure and Will" he learns from Kaizema that it was a ploy, and that the idea to destroy the project was only a trick by those controlling the board.

He learns that he is truly a reborn Ragna and that Kaizema is in actuality Yuki Terumi. Him being brought back to the field due to the cycle after the two links Isamu and Hiroshi perished in their battle. Kaizema had managed to flip the rules by making him a source of the Kaiser through attaching it in his Blazblue, allowing it to exist in the world after it was observed by both Relius and Kokonoe in the previous war and making it slowly stronger then the current stabilizer to the worlds existence: Azure. His negativity such as Hatred, Despair and Malice were solid links that the grimroire used to connect the Kaiser into the current world and allow nightmares to surface such as the Hellions true forms. Though Asuva is a solid source in his own right due to him being the direct origin point of the current world, Kaizema says he alone isn't enough, the last seal must be removed, and the last serpent must be found before the Kaiser can be fully restored.

During their duel, Kaizema forced Asuva's Kaiser Grimroire to release its energy throughout his entire body to the levels to where he couldn't handle it in attempt to make him unleash a Kaiser Bane. This was prevented by Celica who used her Lux Magic to form a sphere of light around both her and Asuva. During that moment the Kaiser energy is suppressed, and Asuva's soul "links" from her, restoring his memories from the Dark War to now. The events seem to go back even further, but Asuva can't piece it together at the time. He is also somehow responsible for why she came back, as she is responsible for why he's "different" this time. The two are apparently linked in some way through the soul, though means and what its causing are unknown. Kaizema mentions this has allowed a certain Phenemena to be acknowledged once more, with both of them finally having acknowledged the link to it.

Realizing this was a lose lose scenario all along, Asuva attempts to fight Kaizema again, only to be mortally wounded by Lamina Catena. As a last ditch attempt to keep him alive, Miwa uses the power of her Pink Azure to save him from death, though he enters a comatose state for a few days after.

It is also evident that because of the Kaiser Core/Grimroire within him, he has both "White" and "Black Azure" in him, though the latter is overpowering the former, the Azure being at odds with Kaiser.

Calamitous Complex[]

Asuva has been in a coma for several days. When he finally wakes he recalls everything from his past and immediately begins to see to his fate to prevent the current situation from worsening. He is a bit upset about the situation, thinking this to be a repeat of all the previous times, up until he learns that something he wanted actually counted towards changing the current timeline, allowing Celica to come back because he desired it. At that point Celica refuses to let him fight this battle alone, and comes with him against Asuva's wishes, saying that if he fights alone the Kaiser will become to much for him.

His first meeting with Miwa is less than pleasant, her refusing to speak to him save for shooting him cruel remarks. Asuva then believes that Miwa harbors a kind of hatred towards him for the fact him being here was only a reminder of what she had to give up. Asuva discerns his belief to be true and storms off, angered that the one person that once gave him hope ten years ago now seemed to hate everything about him for a reason he had no control over. Come to find out Miwa is actually acting this way due to the power of the Black Azure acting as catalyst for the Kaiser, making her unable to control what she says or does, and Asuva drops his resentment towards the matter.

During a surprise battle with the mad puppeteer, Relius Clover, Asuva is told that what he saw three nights prior while he was in a coma was no dream but instead a memory likely from a world prior to this one of Azure. At some point he had seen all of the Yomi serpents, and the only reason he was so intent on keeping this from occurring was because he'd already known what would happen. This relating back to him knowing everything along with Kaizema but choosing not to remember it for his own reasons, in similarity to not using the energies of Azure or Kaiser fully. Celica's link with him somehow causing him to remember these things. Relius also mentions that Asuva doesn't truly know which way his soul points, or if the soul is "his" to begin with. Asuva denies most of it front up, getting him into a situation that pushes Celica into desperation which allows her to release something he seems to know as "Lux Magic" and free him from Ignis's grasp.

Upon his meeting with Rachel, Asuva learns that as he'd thought and mentioned in the true ending of Crisis Rebellion, Fate's Authority has abandoned the world for a short time, leaving them to their own devices with no one to protect the Azure, this burdensome task now falling on him to carry out. If matters weren't bad enough, Kaizema had found some kind of loophole through fate's authority, regarding the souls slipping through their control. Even though Asuva believed him to be bound to their designs as well, Kaizema was now dead serious on ending all of it. Rachel tells him straight upfront that he isn't likely to succeed in defeating Kaizema with the current state he's in, but Asuva brushes it off, saying that he'd dealt with this before.

When he mentions the Lux magic to her, she is surprised and confirms his thoughts that it isn't something that came from this current world, but the ones before it. The only reason Celica can use it is likely because of Asuva being a source to the Azure directly. This magic's power is somehow connected to him and he remembers that Celica mentioned beforehand being able to act as a counter method to Kaiser, this Lux Magic likely being said counter. Rachel later mentions that Asuva can't allow the sheol gate to be opened fully or the Azure would be lost with the Lux Magic useless.

Afterwards he begins to experience throbbing headaches and dizzy spells, leading into a meeting with a man who bares a striking resemblance to him. The man addresses himself as "Ragnarok", claiming to be here to end the world's pain by cutting off the source of the current nightmare and lie, and the supposed reason for the Kaiser's arrival in this world, Asuva along with the Azure itself. After Asuva is thoroughly told his mistakes, everything seem s to click in his mind that Ragnarok is telling him the truth he'd been running from, leaving him a bit disoriented by it all. He manages to use a power to strike Ragnarok away, but collapses shortly after.

Asuva runs into Seiras along the road, who has been drowning himself in self loathsomeness and despair, which opens a door for the soul of the Black Susano'o to form and calls him by the pet-name "Nagi". Through him he sees that the past memories he had were indeed the truth, figuring that he had something to do with it, he attacks in a wild rage. He feels the Azure leaving his control during the battle, and begins to doubt himself, at that moment he is badly injured and almost killed until Celica's concern allows her to use the Lux Magic, which seems to call to Asuva and allow him to return to his feet, feeling the warmth of the Azure from her. He is able to focus this power and use it free Seiras for the time being.

The encounter with Arisu and Masanori, and Invictus having secured his beliefs in the will of destruction, along with his open use of Kaiser put him on a road he believes he must travel alone, secretly thinking he should end things before he falls into relapse and into the will of destruction. He tries to push Celica away from him to keep her safe, but after openly admitting that she'd stay by his side even if that were the type of person he truly was, she would rather him hold onto who she knew he really was inside.

By the time he runs into Miwa, he's fallen off almost completely, believing that he should end things in destruction. After a long and fierce battle, Miwa is forced to use her Pink Azure to try and get him to see straight again. Kaizema later interrupts the battle and knocks Miwa away from Asuva, and he blacks out for a short time before realizing Celica is gone with Miwa turned into Kurai. Kaizema later takes him to the monolith altar beneath the KAL's lower floors, and with some stability returned Asuva stands off with Kaizema, only to lose utterly relying on the Kaiser. Kaizema mentions without the White Azure his chances of victory are now none.

True ending[]

Asuva continues to stand off with Kaizema until Ragnarok arrives once again. Kaizema reveals that what Asuva is experiencing isn't actually from his memory, its from Ragnarok's called the memory of black an alteration of the truth from the memory of azure. With Ragnarok having believed he lost the Azure due to it failing him, however this was far from the truth, Kaizema in the past world had removed the lux core, or the "white" property of the Azure to fashion Ragnarok into a destroyer which carried over into his coming into this world and left Asuva with the same memory thanks to the three way link between him, Celica and Ragnarok. All of this was in fact making Kaizema stronger then imaginable since the more Asuva relied on destructive forces like the Kaiser, the more the world would veer in that direction.

Ragnarok was in fact the original, with Asuva simply being a copy of him. His existence came to be when Ragnarok saw into the mirror after white returned to him. He denied the phenomena of him destroying the previous world and the Chrono Phantasma, a tool of fate's authority was used to copy his soul and replicate it as the center of the reborn world with his manifestation being "Ragna". Even though the world wasn't real at first, the Azure kept it seeming so with its real "truth" being from the center and those around him. Since Ragnarok gave his soul for this purpose, when he was pulled back from a time before this "Paradox" he was without a soul it belonging to Ragna and those following. Whenever he went into limbo after death, he'd see the mirror and come back in either the same form or slightly altered in accordance to the cycle.

Asuva was meant to have Leviathan, however time got messed up during his rebirth into the world and Kaizema wasn't able to ensure it happened. Instead it ended up getting sent to Celica who'd also passed through the mirror, thus crossing the abyss and other side, exposing her soul to the black, which attached itself to her. However, due to the lux magic it was barely noticeable to all but Asuva who was able to sense it, and didn't say anything to keep her safe and keep Kaizema from attaining the last serpent.

The others eventually reach Asuva, while Kaizema verbally abuses the idea of Asuva's role in this world being for naught. The world was falling apart, he couldn't sustain the center anymore, and the Azure was out of his grasp at this point. He should want to end everything, but Kaizema taunts him saying that he lacks the capability to free himself from that as well, since he couldn't control that kind of power anyway. He had no control over his life, and fighting against that was pointless. Eventually Celica steps in and severs the ties to Kaiser with her Lux Magic, and unlocks the white azure for Asuva so he can fight. However...the power is far to much for him to handle, and Kaizema reveals that he needed Celica and Asuva's soul bond to be catalyst to the awakening of that Azure which was the soul of the Origin. Asuva's existence was only a manifestation of that Azure, and in his last words as himself, the Origin Izanagi wakens, overwriting Asuva's existence to sustain his own.

Asuva comes back after his soul is removed, somehow retaining his existence without it. He doesn't reveal how that occurred however. Kaizema remains unfazed, and gives the soul to Ragnarok, revealed to be Izanagi Ragnar, the original holder of Azure. Asuva can only watch as he uses his soul to waken and reform Izanagi into the sword of Calamity and open the gate revealing Leviathan.

Fate Dissolution[]

Fear and Hope[]

After Leviathan emerges, Asuva is able to break free of the paralysis once Miwa offers the Pink Azure's healing properties at her own life's expense. He stands against Kaizema alongside her, but isn't able to do much to prevent him from beating her inches to death. When Miwa falls comatose from the blows, Asuva fights Kaizema on his own ignoring his inability to do any real damage. Kaizema asks why Asuva bothers when his beliefs in this world are always turned against him, even caused him to lose his soul. Asuva disagrees, saying that if that hadn't occurred he would of never known he was capable of existing without the Azure, something even Kaizema wasn't expecting. Once Kaizema unleashes the Azureium Nox Anguium, an eternal armament made from an origins soul of Despair, Hatred and Malice, the battle takes a turn for the worse as he is revived as Yuki Terumi with his power as an origin restored.  he mercilessly attacks the group, leaving them bloodied and near death. Asuva's vision fades and he slips away into unconsciousness with the others as Terumi prepares the final killing blow.

Calm before the storm []

Asuva wakes up in Castle Alucard, having thought he was dead, he's surprised to see the others already up. Rachel had saved them and prevented Terumi from dealing the last strike. Everyone seemed to have recovered, all save Miwa. Hearing of her worsening condition, he leaves the room and goes into the gardens, silently reflecting to himself on the current events transpiring.

He's reuinited with Xenaki and the others as they all flood into the garden to recollect themselves for the battles ahead. As the others are caught up, Asuva wonders how he managed to keep himself in the world even without the Azure to sustain him. Celica feels bad about being the one to fall for Terumi's trap, and Asuva says it likely happened for a reason, if it never had he wouldn't know what he does now. With that said the others head into the castle to try and comfort Miwa, while Asuva makes the descion to stay outside the castle walls, unable to just sit and watch if the worst comes to pass.

While everyone is in there, Celica stays with him telling him he didn't want to see a death, and that was the real reason he stayed away. Asuva feels pressure from the situation, he lacked the power to protect those he cared about most. He couldn't help Celica when Terumi took Leviathan, he couldn't help Miwa while she was getting beaten by him, and eveything he tried to protect would always end up going south. He was tired of not being able to do anything, he didn't even understand the point of the title of protector that Jubei once told him about, when he couldn't protect anything. Celica believes its something that Asuva needed to find for himself, and once he did it would probably make sense. He makes a promise to himself that he wouldn't see anyone die in this, and at that point realizes its now his choice, and his choice was to stand against this reality and the fate being weaved by his very soul. He would always oppose it, even if it was the new reality, he'd fight to get the one reality he remembered back.

When Miwa is confirmed to be in good health, he returns to the group and tells them flat out they wont die. The reason being, they all had something to fight for, a reason, which is what ultimately fueled his own descion to oppose things in the first place. Even if the reality they knew once wasn't actually "real" they made it real enough to fight for to get back. This reality he'd seen...being one out of fate's reach. That being his reason, he wanted to see the world they showed him returned to them.

Later on he finds out from Jubei and Rachel that they'd been hoping this entire time that Asuva would find his own reason to no longer rely on the previous Azure for his justification of existence. That was his power, and that power was something he needed to find for himself. It wouldn't come right away, but Rachel and his old master believed in him, not the Origin, not this Azure, but who he defined himself as, and the reality he was fighting for. Because it was by his choice this time, and no longer by fate's, he tells him to no longer fear this Azure. He had the strength now to stand to fate.

Into the Nightmare []

Asuva is seen with the others at the top of the KAL Tower in Ugairu. As they try to figure out how to reconnect Xenaki to the Amaterasu unit to get to Izanami, it turns out Laileth had used a phenomena intervention with his Eternal Armament to trap them in what seemed to be a normal room designed like the upper level. Xenaki is sent to the Yomi by the trap and forces both Asuva and Seiras into battle. Asuva fights against Laileth up until the point he leaves, sensing the other group's arrival. Ryuke then mentions to Asuva that if someone managed to defeat Laileth, their chances of getting Xenaki back out of the Yomi were almost none.

Later on after attempting to defeat Ryuke, the Kaiser levels increase to an dangerously high level. While Asuva is custom to it, it takes its toll on Seiras. Asuva quickly found himself under the pressure facing two opponents at once, the Kaiser having turned Seiras against him. Susano'o's soul comes out in the form of Black Susano'o, Ryuke revealing this to be Susano'o before he became corrupt with the Snake's power, but was still driven to madness by it. Asuva asks how it was possible considering Terumi was Susano'o, but Ryuke dis-confirms this, saying by that point the soul of Susano'o was non existent inside him, him overwriting existence in similarity to how Izanagi came through Asuva. This leaving Asuva to wonder who or what Terumi really was in that case. Asuva and Black Susano'o face off, and without any power to rely on, is unable to defeat him. Seiras manages to reaffirm his control over the unit at the end of the battle, which saves Asuva from a sword piercing his heart.

They waste no time and move on to look for how to help Xenaki, Asuva saying unlike Izanagi he wouldn't fail to save her this time.

Playing with Fire[]

Asuva is seen with the group discussing how to tackle their problems with the new found help of Valrayn. With the discussions of Laileth having stuck Xenaki in the Yomi, he is reminded of his discontent with the situation. Valrayn mentions that if she is in the Yomi, she'd be forever lost, to this Asuva disagrees whole heartily. Valrayn being a member of the Hellion Triune, Asuva demands that he open the portal to the feared "Yomi", knowing he could become lost and stuck within that place.

Seiras and Celica go with him to attempt and traverse the place to find Xenaki.

Trials of Fate[]

The group travels through the Yomi in hopes of finding the lost Xenaki. The world of the Yomi being held up by the energy of negativity, supposedly being a place similar to their own world in how it was created by the energy of souls or one single center. Asuva travels across his timeline, presented by the twisted ways of the Yomi, seeing things that remind him of his past struggles, eventually leading him to a place of evil. In front of the gate where the Yomi serpent's presence could be felt, along with the boding of ill fate, the three become stuck with a barrier swiftly raising to keep them there. Asuva's hairs stand on end with chills in this place, he feels that something happened here that led into complete tradegedy and despair. In this place Susano'o rises again, taking over Seiras fully and retaining his appearance from eons past. Asuva immediately feels the source being from him, and discerns him the origin point of their problems with Terumi. The two fight each other, Asuva determined to defeat him, uncaring of the fact Susano'o was an Origin.

Asuva is clearly outmatched, but he continues regardless until Susano'o catches him and tries to mock him about this being "fate" as Izanagi died here, so would he. Asuva refuses to accept this, and releases his sword's true potential, revealing it as an eternal armament. Susano'o is one step ahead of him, using his own eternal armament that was made by Izanagi, which would eventually be the reason he died. At this Asuva becomes infuriated and attacks relentlessly until Susano'o is knocked down, but he stands right back up. Again Susano'o gets the edge on him, forcing Asuva to release all his energy to keep him away, but he collapses in the process, unable to continue.

Celica protects Asuva from any further assault and speaks demeaningly to Susano'o about his choices to trust the serpent. Susano'o reveals that it was because he became lost in despair once Izanami disappeared, and began to loathe Izanagi. The one who made the serpents power attained existence in this world through his negativity, slowly overwriting Susano'o's existence. Susano'o begins to regret having ever thought the darkness was his own, and then apologizes for what he's done and tells them to meet him elsewhere after they get through.

Asuva has stirring thoughts of his own after the revelations here, but he continues onward past the barrier once it is dispelled. The group finds Xenaki, with Terumi revealing himself here as well, taunting Asuva, asking him if he liked the similarities of the current world to the events that would befall the current of Azure. He then reveals that after securing his existence here, it was him who killed Izanagi in Susano'o's guise after Izanagi had sealed the gate. Once Izanagi was gone he'd killed off the Origins, at that point fate intervened and banished him from that world, eventually leading him into the world of humanity that would become the current world of Azure. After mocking him about how his fight was pointless, and how in reality he was lying to himself to make a false truth, he tells him that he wont escape from fate's chains even if he's managed to get this far. Asuva becomes enraged that Terumi would even hint at the truth in this world in front of anyone aside himself. After thoroughly reminding Asuva of his true struggle both physically and mentally, Terumi leaves saying he'd make his hell ten times worse once he was at the reigns. Asuva leaves as well, remaining silent in anger from the rest of the group until the chapter ends.

Azureium Rebelluia: Blood-Scythe[]

A blade that he had received from HJ that Ragna the Bloodedge once carried. He had heard its full name when he held it, and the blade revealed to him a blue, white, and gold aura for only a brief moment. It holds the Soul of Nu within it, and is able to retract armor similar to the Murakumo though the purpose of it is unclear, the blade's origins are also unknown. It has several forms, one being a scythe that he can switch through at will. Depending on the energy he's channeling through it, the blade will respond with either Dark or Light based attacks. How it does this is unknown to be connected to his will, soul, or something else. Under the influence of Kaiser the blade will emit a black, purple or green aura, and amplifies his will to destroy.

He at first believes its name to be Azureium Kaiser: Blood-Scythe, however once he gets rid of the Kaiser with the help of Celica in Calamitous Complex, the name no longer seems to feel "correct" to Asuva.

In Fate Dissolution it is revealed to be an Eternal Armament, its true name being Azureium Rebelluia: Blood-Scythe. It awakened when Asuva used his own power and the will of protection outside of the previous Azure and was first seen when he battled the Origin Susano'o. The sword gains a blue tint across its body and looks slightly different with runes of another language appearing across its blade. Its true power isn't known, but was crafted and wielded by Izanagi in the past, him wielding it against the serpent's assault on his own world in the past.

It is supposedly a Soularma as well, and is currently being held by Celica after Asuva left this world. Where it went after that is unknown.

Personality[]

Crisis Rebellion[]

Asuva normally keeps to himself and prefers to avoid drawing to much attention under most cases. In a conversation he can be rude, hot headed, dismissive and to a certain extent impudent. He is down at heart however, a nice guy who with those he cares about would give his life to protect. He is a wild spirit that acts and does as he pleases, and he never gives in even when odds are against him. This often gets him into dangerous scenarios, and despite being with the RSF, he normally fights alone or with Xenaki. With Xenaki he shows a softer more caring side. In battle he posses a brutal nature that is caused by the Kaiser, earning him the nickname Crimson Beast.

Against Kaizema he loses all focus entirely and attacks him on sight, Kaizema mentions that he feels Asuva’s hatred for him was already there, and he only triggered it once more.

Calamitous Complex[]

Asuva retains most of his personality from the previous installment, but he has gained a powerful sense of rebellion, and an undying will mostly from recalling himself as Ragna, remembering his past clearly and taking any necessary actions to see his fight through. He still can't keep himself in check next to Kaizema, and is still quick to anger around him. He is extremely protective of Celica with her following him around into danger now, something many of the antagonists try to take advantage of with both her and Xenaki, whom he treats like a valued family member with her being the rebirth of his sister from the past.

On the opposite side, The Kaiser still takes its toll on him, and fills his head with many harmful thoughts. With the constant beliefs of being the reason the world is where it is now, especially after hearing Ragnarok and Miwa among others. Miwa's recent behavior being a huge reason to why he begins to wonder occasionally if he should save a world that seems to loathe his very existence, something that the antagonists take full advantage of, and something Celica desperately tries to keep him from thinking.

Under full influence of the Kaiser[]

He becomes not a mindless ravaging lunatic, but intelligent, brutal, and a huge threat to everyone around him. His will has relapsed to the ways of destruction, focusing all his energy on this purpose. For this reason a lot of people find him a threat to the world itself and many find it hard to believe he's lost control in this state, because he acts like he's accustomed to the Kaiser's influence. Whether the cause of this is him giving into the negative thoughts, or something else is unknown.

Fate Dissolution[]

He made a promise to himself that everyone would get through alive, and that he'd see the world restored to how he remembered it. Holding onto that near impossible belief has changed him quite a bit. Despite not having his soul, his mind is free of the negativity that clouded his mind, and despite the world collapsing he maintains a level head, and demonstrates the capability to lead the others. He is far more open to accepting the other's aid, since he now knows his strength is dependent on theirs at this point. Jubei has told him that at this point, his will and fights are by choice, and this has made him one of the strongest forces against this reality. He will not give up on any cicumstance.

Appearance[]

Asuva is a young man with crimson eyes and wild spiked medium length silver hair. He stands about 6 feet high and wears a red jacket with black designs on the corners that ascend to the collar. The jacket comes down to his knees and splits near the back, the undersides of the coat are black as well. Near the ends of his cuffs of the coat are two thin short tails that hang freely. Under the coat he wears a darker crimson shirt that is decorated with a white symbol at the corners. He wears long ceder colored pants and two straps across his right leg. Straps held up by golden buckles also cover his wrists, wearing them like bracelets. Blood Scythe is upheld by two crossing belts on his back that comes around to his front. Underneath the shirt, Asuva has a strange marking that covers his front body like a branding.

Warped by the Kaiser[]

He retains his form, but many red lines branch across his body that form up in a single cluster shaped like a diamond in his chest. Continued use will darken his skin tone until it is blacker then night itself, the only source of light the lines on his body and his gleaming red eyes. He can form a singular wing, claws, and talons of Kaiser energy.

Fate Dissolution[]

His eyes have lost their luster due to his soul being taken from him. After Izanagi returns the Azure to him, his eyes become very bright and take on a tint of blue, symbolizing the ending of his inner struggle with the will of destruction.

Powers and Abilities[]

Crisis Rebellion[]

Asuva has potential to be one of the strongest characters, but is limited due to the Kaiser being inside of him due to a past accident. The Kaiser grimroire is in the form of his heart, fusing with the Blazblue itself, creating a hybrid.

His normal style of fighting is a mixture of rushdown swordplay and combo games. He can change the form of his blade at will to suit the situation.

Kaiser Grimroire[]

The Kaiser Grimroire became a part of Asuva's heart shortly after the incident involving the DNA of the Kaiser, it is now fused with his Blazblue. He emits Kaiser Energy while under this state and his attacks become far more powerful, changing some moves entirely. When he accesses it for to long he loses sight of everything and everyone around him, rampaging about. Due to these side effects, as well as the energy sapping his health as a catalyst, he rarely uses it. Unbeknowest to him, using the Kaiser corrupts the Azure slowly.

White Azure []

A power that influences his attacks in a white aura in stark contrast to the dark colors of the Kaiser. He uses it several times once Arisu mentions not to rely on Kaiser for everything. Channeling the white Azure through his sword Blood-Scythe, is what gives it the white aura. It like the Kaiser or Black Azure is properly accessed through his Blazblue in his heart. It is capable of shifting into a Blue aura, as seen many times in CR and CC, but only appears when he uses it in access, and is the direct result of him using the Azure as a source of power. Unbeknownst to him he used it in many instances already, including to help Xenaki when she was Alpha, and Seiras when he was the Dark Susano'o.

Blazblue[]

The potential of his Blazblue that resides in his heart to connect to his soul, is currently sealed away do to the Kaiser Core. He therefore can not use it to access anything other than the Kaiser Grimroire.

Kokonoe noticed at one time a power she explained as: "One beyond the Azure and Fate", but it was only very brief and resides in the core of his soul itself, inside of the Blazblue.

Calamitous Complex[]

???[]

A force that influences his attacks and Blood-Scythe in a strange blue and black aura, with its origins being unknown. Because it requires so much energy and puts strain on his being he rarely uses it.
